Object Spooner

Build maps the community plays.

The Object Spooner is what made Menyoo famous: a full in-game editor that lets you place objects with pinpoint precision, set up scenes and build complete maps. Everything is saved as open XML — one of the GTA V community's most widely used map formats.

Automatic installer

The menyoo.live installer handles the whole setup for you: it places Menyoo and the required files straight into your GTA V folder — no copying .asi files, no fiddling with folders. Run it, start the game, press F8. Done.

Windows may show an "unrecognized app" warning the first time — that's normal for a fresh installer; choose More info → Run anyway. Rather set it up yourself? Use the raw files below and the manual steps.

Install Script Hook V

Download Script Hook V by Alexander Blade and copy ScriptHookV.dll and dinput8.dll (ASI loader) into your GTA V folder — next to GTA5.exe. After every GTA update, update Script Hook V first.

Copy Menyoo into the game folder

Grab the latest release from the official sources below and copy Menyoo.asi and the menyooStuff folder next to GTA5.exe as well. To update, just overwrite Menyoo.asi — menyooStuff with your saves stays untouched.

Start story mode and press F8

In story mode, F8 opens (and closes) the menu. Navigate with the arrow keys, Enter selects, Backspace goes back — on a controller RB + D-pad left. The key can be changed in menyooStuff/menyooConfig.ini (open_key = 119).

Story mode only — never in GTA Online

Menyoo is a single-player-only trainer. Using mods in GTA Online violates Rockstar's terms of service and can result in a permanent ban. Script Hook V does shut the game down automatically as soon as you enter multiplayer — still, the rule stands: remove mod files from your game folder before playing GTA Online. Play fair, go wild in story mode.

About our direct download — and fake ones: the file hosted on menyoo.live is an unmodified copy of the official Menyoo 2.0 release; the version is named right on the button, and the official pages are linked in the footer — if in doubt, they are the source of truth. Everywhere else, stay sharp: Menyoo is and always has been free, and scammers spread malware-laced “Menyoo” builds via fake sites, Discord, Telegram and copycat repos. MAFINS himself warns: “Please do not download ‘updated’ binaries uploaded and distributed by strangers you do not trust.”

What is Menyoo?
Menyoo (also known as Menyoo PC or MenyooSP) is a free, open-source mod menu and trainer for the single-player story mode of GTA 5 on PC. It adds an in-game menu — opened with F8 — that lets you spawn vehicles, change your character, teleport, control weather and time, and build scenes and maps with the Object Spooner.
Is Menyoo really free?
Yes, completely. Menyoo is open source (GPL-3.0) with its code on GitHub. It has always been distributed for free — via GTA5-Mods, and since 2019 also open source on GitHub. If a site charges money, it's not the official download.
Is Menyoo safe? Will I get banned?
Modding in story mode has been tolerated for years — millions of players use Menyoo there without issues. The real risk is GTA Online: mod menus violate the terms of service there and can lead to a permanent ban. Use Menyoo strictly in story mode.
Does Menyoo work in GTA Online or FiveM?
In GTA Online: no — Script Hook V even shuts the game down automatically as soon as you enter multiplayer. FiveM support in Menyoo 2.0 was limited and version-dependent (in older builds up to v2.2.1); current releases target story mode on Legacy and Enhanced. FiveM servers usually ship their own tools.
Does Menyoo run on the Enhanced edition?
Yes. Menyoo 2.0 has supported the Enhanced edition since v2.2.0 (currently v2.3.1 for Legacy and Enhanced). You need a current Script Hook V, the matching ASI loader (for Enhanced, the one from OpenRPF) and BattlEye disabled in the Rockstar Launcher; on Windows 11 also Alloc8or's DirectStorage fix.
Menyoo won't open with F8 — what now?
Most common cause: Script Hook V is outdated after a GTA update — Menyoo only loads once Script Hook V supports the new game build. Also check that Menyoo.asi and menyooStuff really sit next to GTA5.exe, the ASI loader is installed and (on Enhanced) BattlEye is disabled. The menyooLog.txt file in your game folder tells you what failed.
How do I update Menyoo?
Download the latest release from the official sources and overwrite Menyoo.asi in your game folder. You can keep the menyooStuff folder — your saved vehicles, outfits and Spooner maps are preserved.
How do I uninstall Menyoo?
Delete Menyoo.asi and the menyooStuff folder from your GTA V directory — done. There's no installer and no registry entries. To go fully vanilla, also remove ScriptHookV.dll, dinput8.dll and menyooLog.txt. Back up menyooStuff first if you want to keep your saves.
How do I share or install Spooner maps?
Maps are XML files in menyooStuff/Spooner. To share, just pass the file on or upload it to GTA5-Mods; to install, drop the XML there and load it in-game via Object Spooner → Manage Saved Files → Load Placements. Subfolders are allowed — add a preview.png and you'll even get a preview image in the menu.
Who is behind Menyoo?
Menyoo was developed by MAFINS, first released on GTA5-Mods in 2015 and open-sourced in 2019. After the original repository was archived in February 2025, ItsJustCurtis continues the project as "Menyoo 2.0" with MAFINS' approval — open source as ever. This website is a community project and links to their official channels.
